Charles Babbage

A famed engineer and mathematician.

Charles Babbage was one of the most brilliant men in England during the first half of the 19th century. He invented the actuarial table, the form, and the cowcatcher, as well as contributing to the development of the Great Western Railway (where he occasionally worked with Isambard Kingdom Brunel) and broke Vigenère’s autokey cipher.

The PCs met him while he was on guard duty at the Gate of Worlds in the Astral Sea. Probably.
